Native Pollinator Gardens

A native pollinator garden is a garden designed to attract and support native pollinators, such as bees, butterflies, moths, flies, and beetles.

Native pollinators are important for the reproduction of many plants, including food crops, and are essential for maintaining healthy ecosystems.

In the Spring of 2021, 5 native pollinator gardens were created in each one of the watersheds we service.

The flowers planted in each garden were:

Cutleaf Coneflower

Yellow Violets

Dutchman’s Breeches

Goldenrod

Swamp Milkweed

Joe Pye-weed

Blue Flag Iris

The gardens are meant to be self-maintaining
