On this page you will find data that we collect:
- Water quality
- Sediment tracking
- Tree Swallow monitoring
- Bird boxes
Water quality data is collected at 17 different locations around our watersheds. This data has been collected at different frequencies since 2005 which gives a very good base of data to understand and monitor changes. The graph shown here is temperature for Lord's Pond in Tryon, but more parameters can be found on DataStream Atlantic.

SSWA started tracking sediment movement at set sites in 2024. We have chosen 6 sites to monitor which are located on main branches of rivers with significant fish passage. These include the DeSable, Westmoreland, Tryon, and Cape Traverse. We then graph a number of different factors, including water height and sediment depth, to get an idea of how sediment is being transported over time. The graph shown is from a site on the west branch of the DeSable River.
